This degree or certificate program prepares students for careers in the music industry or related fields requiring musical knowledge. Participants will specialize in a specific study area while developing musical abilities, analyzing patterns, and exploring diverse musical traditions. The curriculum fosters critical thinking, creativity, and collaborative skills through expressive and articulate musical practice. To graduate, students must complete mandatory courses plus electives totaling at least 22 units. Program Outcomes: Graduates will master foundational music theory, musicianship, and analysis techniques. They'll acquire essential music history knowledge and keyboard proficiency while achieving performance standards suitable for their specialization. The program structure includes four course types: core requirements, instrumental/vocal instruction, performance ensembles, and electives.
