The Associate in Arts in Art History for Transfer Degree prepares students for transfer to four-year universities, specifically meeting lower-division requirements for a Bachelor's degree in Art History at California State University campuses. This program provides fundamental knowledge in art history, covering global, national, and local perspectives within the discipline. Program Learning Outcomes: Students completing this program will demonstrate the ability to recognize major themes, developments, and discussions in art history; utilize core concepts to analyze and integrate various theoretical and practical aspects of the field; and develop international, national, and regional perspectives on art historical issues, equipping them for diverse academic and professional paths.
To earn the Art History AA-T degree, students must: complete a minimum of 60 CSU-transferable semester units with at least a 2.0 GPA, fulfill major requirements, and complete either the CSU General Education (40 units) or IGETC (37-39 units) requirements.
