The Russian studies program at Georgia Tech offers an intensive, content-focused exploration of the frameworks and tensions shaping Russian, Soviet, and post-Soviet societies. Our program excels in examining cultural memory and its ideological interpretations, evolving systems of artistic expression, Russian poetry, literature, and music within their historical contexts, and the connections between science and the humanities.

Through our program, students develop practical language skills and cultural understanding (Our undergraduates frequently graduate with ACTFL OPI ratings of Advanced High). You'll gain specialized knowledge in chosen disciplines while building a comprehensive understanding of Russian cultural dynamics, with opportunities to collaborate with professors on personalized research projects.
