A specialized career path emerging to meet the growing demand for administrators skilled in cultural competency and diverse healthcare strategies.
This pioneering U.S. program equips graduates for leadership roles in culturally aware healthcare sectors including multilingual staffing, patient advocacy, interpretation services, and health messaging.
According to the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, 66% of serious medical incidents stem from communication breakdowns. Consequently, since January 2011, new accreditation standards mandate improved communication and cultural awareness, obligating federally funded facilities to offer language assistance for non-English speaking patients.

Our program prepares graduates to:
recognize and resolve healthcare disparities related to ethnicity, language and culture, recruit skilled interpreters, translators and bilingual employees, train staff on federal compliance standards, enhance care quality through research-backed intercultural practices, and prevent expensive, life-threatening medical errors.
