Greg Afinogenov specializes in the imperial era, focusing on Russia's interactions with China and Inner Asia, diplomatic history, and the study of knowledge, science, and information systems. Michael David-Fox represents the modern period, concentrating on revolutionary and Soviet history while regularly leading seminars on key interpretations of Russian and Soviet historical studies.
