The Bachelor of Arts in Archaeology stands out as one of the rare programs of its type across the U.S. This program explores archaeological studies spanning both Old and New World civilizations, delving into topics like state development, societal power structures, and human evolution. The 39-credit interdisciplinary curriculum incorporates foundational subjects frequently utilized in archaeological studies, such as anthropology, art history, classical studies, and historical analysis. Course offerings are organized into three categories: Field and laboratory techniques, anthropological archaeology, and ancient societies. Participants complete coursework across all categories while having the option to concentrate on specific regions or academic disciplines. Every student gains hands-on experience through fieldwork or laboratory training, and must demonstrate proficiency in a relevant foreign language by completing twelve credit hours or equivalent coursework.
