The sport management curriculum equips students with expertise in areas such as sports marketing, financial management, ethical practices, legal aspects, operational strategies, event coordination, and leadership development. As part of their degree requirements, students must fulfill both a practicum and internship, providing hands-on training and professional networking opportunities in the sports-centric Washington, D.C. area - home to twelve professional sports franchises across major and minor leagues, plus seven NCAA Division I institutions.
Our alumni have secured positions in diverse sports industry roles nationwide, including media communications, promotional campaigns, revenue generation, alumni relations, and coaching careers with organizations like the Washington Nationals, Baltimore Orioles, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Washington Football Team, New York Knicks, D.C. United, United States Tennis Association, Duke University Athletics, New York Mets, and Monumental Sports Entertainment.
