The Organizational Behavior and Human Resources major is one of seven concentrations available in FSU's Business Administration Ph.D. program. This specialization welcomes two to three new students each autumn, spanning four to five years of study. Features faculty specializing in organizational behavior (including leadership dynamics, stress mitigation, social psychology, and workplace politics) and HR management (covering talent acquisition, performance evaluation, workplace diversity, and labor relations). The curriculum explores diverse topics in organizational studies, HR practices, and advanced research methodologies. Students complete two years of intensive coursework and examinations, followed by dedicated research and teaching experience culminating in a doctoral dissertation.

Qualification Requirements

A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or a comparable degree from an international institution, with a minimum 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average (GPA) in all coursework attempted while registered as an upper-division undergraduate student working towards a bachelor's degree; or

Admission is competitive and focused on students with grade-point averages of 3.5 or higher and GMAT scores of at least 600 or GRE scores of at least 155 on each section of the revised GRE.

The College of Business requires a minimum TOEFL score of 600 on the paper-based test and 100 on the internet-based test, or a minimum of 7.0 on the IELTS exam, taken within the past two (2) years.

A minimum score of 25 for each section of the TOEFL is strongly recommended. In addition, international graduate applicants seeking teaching assistantships are required to pass a test of spoken English.
