The ETSU MSW program aims to equip students for independent clinical practice. Its objectives, goals, and curriculum are all designed with this central mission. The program's learning outcomes focus on: Providing students with clinical practice knowledge, values, and competencies, Enabling students to practice responsibly in both public and private settings, Teaching students to conduct and apply ethical research to improve social work practice. This Master of Social Work program holds full accreditation from the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Candidates holding bachelor's degrees from accredited institutions can apply for the standard two-year master's program. The initial foundation year develops a generalist social work approach, while the second year specializes in preparing students for independent clinical practice.
