Our CSWE-accredited Master of Social Work program equips students with the skills and professional conduct needed for specialized advanced social work practice.
The MSW curriculum's Generalist segment offers a broad overview of social work principles, covering practice methods, human development and social systems, research techniques, policy studies, and hands-on field training.
The Specialization component expands on this foundation, delivering focused coursework in mental health services, family and youth programs, community leadership, educational social work, and correctional system interventions.
Students typically finish this program within two academic years.
Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college/university. Grade point average (GPA) of at least 2.75 (A=4.0) for the final 60 semester/90 quarter hours of undergraduate study; Liberal arts background consisting of credit received on the collegiate level in the following area: Social and Behavioural Sciences (20 semester/30 quarter hours); Statistics course passed with a minimum grade of “C”.
Minimum English Competency Test Score: TOEFL 80, with sub scores of Reading 19, Listening 17, Speaking 20, and Writing 21 (iBT Test); 60, with sub scores of Reading 19, Listening 17, Writing 21 (revised Paper-Delivered Test), OR, IELTS 6.5, with sub scores of 6.0 for all four sub scores, OR, PTE-Academic 54, with sub scores of Reading 51, Listening 47, Speaking 53, and Writing 56.
