Drexel's Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Global Studies program equips students with critical skills to analyze worldwide political, social, economic, and environmental systems through a fresh perspective. This hands-on, multidisciplinary major with language requirements engages students in contemporary global issues like renewable energy, climate initiatives, economic development, healthcare equality, diplomacy, and other pressing concerns. Through international study options, practical work opportunities, and community involvement both locally and globally, students bridge linguistic and cultural divides across academic fields. The program challenges students to assess America's role within international frameworks while cultivating a global mindset.
Students in Global Studies select from four specialized tracks, complete a mandatory language or area studies minor, and can enhance their expertise through elective courses and certificates tailored for diverse career paths. Graduates pursue opportunities in business, economics, legal fields, policymaking, healthcare communications, media, NGOs, government agencies, and international institutions. High-achieving students may qualify for combined degree programs, simultaneously earning undergraduate and graduate credentials in business, international studies, communications, or public health.
