The Critical Ethnic Studies master's program equips students to critically examine race and ethnicity within urban and global settings. Employing an interdisciplinary, antiracist approach to analyze power structures worldwide and locally, the curriculum prioritizes social justice and systemic change while exploring U.S. ethnic and racial communities through intersectional, decolonial, transnational, international, and urban lenses. Evening core classes take place at the Lincoln Park Campus, with elective options available online or at both Lincoln Park and Loop campuses during daytime or evening hours. Students can finish this Critical Ethnic Studies master's degree within two years.
