The Theatre School's Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program in theatre technology educates students in bringing designers' concepts to life. Students specializing in Theatre Technology work alongside designers, artists, and technical crews to develop sets, props, lighting, and audio elements for theatrical and entertainment performances.
The BFA in Theatre Technology curriculum covers technical direction, production coordination, set and prop fabrication, rigging systems, technical drawing, metalwork, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, automated technologies, troubleshooting, lighting systems, and sound engineering. Graduates emerge prepared to fulfill technical roles implementing designs and assume leadership positions. Alumni find careers in stage productions, film and TV, commercial set fabrication, traveling shows, concert events, and various entertainment sectors. Final Transcripts/Proof of Degree Completion - Admitted students are required to submit final secondary school (high school) transcripts and/or proof of degree completion (A-Levels, WAEC, CBSE, High School Certificate, etc.) before enrolling at DePaul.
If your transcripts/secondary school exam results were issued in a language other than English - In addition to the original language documents, you will need to submit word-for-word English translations for all pages submitted. If your transcripts and/or secondary school exams results were issued by the school or testing agency in English, you do not need to submit additional translations.
