The Theatre Arts program offers both classroom learning and practical experience, delivering a comprehensive education in theatre with opportunities to specialize in various areas. The credit requirements make it perfect for students who want to pursue a minor or additional major. Each year, the department stages approximately eight full productions, ranging from Shakespearean classics to contemporary musicals. Theatre students perform all roles in these productions, and most sets and scenery are student-built as well. This immersive approach helps participants refine their skills and gain valuable experience. Additionally, the Theatre Department organizes a biennial summer study abroad program, allowing students to explore theatrical traditions in diverse cultural settings. After earning their degree, graduates pursue various paths—some continue their education in graduate programs, while others enter the entertainment industry professionally.
