To obtain an Associate in Science Degree, students must complete at least 60 units of coursework, fulfilling both major and general education requirements while maintaining a minimum 2.0 GPA. All major courses require a grade of C or higher. While culinary arts often brings cooking to mind—including techniques, food safety, and proper equipment handling—the field encompasses far more.

A culinary career extends beyond the kitchen to include food presentation, guest relations, event coordination, marketing, business operations, and all aspects of food service within hospitality. At CCC, students gain practical experience with diverse cuisines and culinary methods in our state-of-the-art facilities. Our modern teaching kitchen mirrors professional restaurant environments with its contemporary design and comprehensive equipment.
