The Master of Music with a focus on Music Education and Licensure is an intensive program tailored for individuals possessing either a Bachelor of Arts in Music or a Bachelor of Music degree. This program enables students to obtain K-12 music teaching certification while pursuing graduate-level music education studies. With full-time enrollment, including summer sessions, the degree can be finished in three years, though many students take four years due to the extensive licensure requirements and a dedicated semester for student teaching. Upon completion, graduates qualify for Colorado's K-12 Music Teaching License. Participants must maintain year-round residency in Fort Collins, engaging in coursework either full-time or part-time throughout the year.
