Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) play a vital role in healthcare teams across hospitals, clinics, research facilities, and educational institutions, working closely with physicians to deliver essential diagnostic insights. These professionals demonstrate reliability, drive, and motivation while expertly managing high-pressure scenarios.
MLTs conduct diagnostic tests using advanced equipment to support disease identification, diagnosis, and treatment. They maintain rigorous testing standards, perform regular equipment maintenance, address technical issues, and contribute to developing new testing methodologies.
The Medical Laboratory Technology program spans two years, blending classroom instruction with hands-on training at partner clinical sites.
Graduates who complete the program qualify to pursue Nevada state licensure as Medical Technicians.
