Our Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) program is delivered through a partnership with Piedmont Augusta in Augusta, Georgia, where students complete the hands-on clinical training portion. This regional professional program serves USC Aiken students pursuing careers in medical laboratory settings within the allied health field. Clinical laboratory scientists conduct tests, analyze results, ensure data accuracy, manage lab operations, and work alongside healthcare teams to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
Graduates of the CLS program receive a completion certificate from Piedmont Augusta Laboratory, qualifying them for certification as Clinical Laboratory Scientists. Biology majors at USC Aiken can also earn a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (BSCLS) by successfully finishing this program alongside their undergraduate studies.
