The Early Modern Studies program offers an interdisciplinary exploration of history, literature, religion, and philosophy during the transformative era bridging medieval and modern civilizations, characterized particularly by the emergence of printing, religious conflicts, and the development of nation-states. This concentration examines what's alternatively termed as the Early Modern period, Renaissance, Reformation, or Tudor-Stuart Britain (and occasionally extends to European studies, particularly in theological research). Available to students across all disciplines within Claremont Graduate University's School of Arts and Humanities, including English, history, religion, and cultural studies programs.
