Central Washington University's School Psychology program has a distinguished tradition of delivering top-tier education for aspiring school psychologists in public education. As Washington's first program to earn national accreditation (NASP), we've consistently enhanced our curriculum over time. Our program prepares students for state licensure as school psychologists, culminating in an Education Specialist Degree (EdS) that qualifies graduates for Washington state certification. The program also supports licensure in other states. Recognized by the National Association of School Psychologists, graduates who achieve the required exam score can obtain National Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) status.
Currently, we provide a single pathway to complete the EdS degree: a three-year, on-campus program tailored for bachelor's degree holders not currently working in school systems.
