The Healthcare Spanish Certificate Program consists of 18 units, including 8 Lower Division and 7 Upper Division units, plus 3 service-learning units.
Both regularly enrolled and extended learning students can earn these certificates, which demonstrate successful completion of a structured curriculum aimed to:
develop specific professional/vocational/career skills, or
achieve comprehensive knowledge in a specialized academic area, or
explore diverse content within traditional or new interdisciplinary fields.
Some certificate programs include 6000-level courses as mandatory or optional components. Undergraduate students are ineligible for these advanced courses. Participants must complete at least two-thirds of their certificate requirements at the university. Credit transfers or course substitutions require approval from the relevant campus office.
