The Bachelor of Arts in Art Plan III and the newly introduced BA in Art History & Global Cultures, provided by the Department of Art & Design, expose students to the evolution of visual arts, helping them comprehend art and culture within broader societal and historical frameworks.
Why pursue art history -
Learners will acquire academic competencies, insights, and hands-on research experience to examine how artistic traditions, mediums, movements, and societal factors like conflict, faith, governance, and technological advancements have influenced both creators and their works. Similar to other Humanities fields, students enhance their capacity to articulate thoughts verbally and textually, refining their expertise in constructing academic arguments and producing scholarly art historical writing.
