The Master of Fine Arts in Television, Film and Theatre (TVFT) is a three-year terminal degree designed to equip students for varied careers in media production, performance, and screenwriting. This curriculum blends theoretical studies in theater, film, television, and digital media with examinations of narrative politics, exploring storytelling through lenses of critical race theory, gender studies, and class analysis. Participants gain practical knowledge of contemporary industry standards while cultivating their artistic perspective through stage productions, film sets, collaborative work, and thesis projects that bridge academic learning with professional application. This MFA program, combined with substantial field experience, prepares graduates for both creative practice and academic instruction in these disciplines.
