The School of Social Work provides a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree available through flexible one, two, or three-year study options. Our MSW programs are offered in both traditional on-campus settings and through distributed learning (DL), enabling students to complete most coursework online while making occasional campus visits. These programs blend comprehensive academic training with hands-on practicum experiences, preparing aspiring social workers for careers serving children, families, groups, and communities.
The MSW program's advanced generalist focus equips students with versatile knowledge, practical skills, and professional values for advanced practice across various settings - from individual and family counseling to organizational leadership and community development. The concentration year emphasizes four key areas: direct client services, community and organizational work, policy analysis and implementation, and research-based practice approaches.
