The Advanced Standing program caters to students holding a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) from a CSWE-accredited institution. This accelerated program kicks off with three-hour Advanced Standing Seminars in August, though Baylor BSW alumni are exempt from this requirement. Participants start an advanced internship in fall and develop a research project tied to their fieldwork. Offering both local and national options, students can secure placements in Waco, Texas, or other states. The program concludes with a week-long Capstone course, where students deliver professional presentations at the Colloquium before graduating.

Letters of recommendation: At least two of your three letters of recommendation must be from an academic professor who has direct knowledge of your academic work. Of these two academic references, one must be the undergraduate program director, the director of practicum education, or the social work supervisor
