The Master of Arts program provides comprehensive training in feminist and gender studies, offering rigorous theoretical foundations, practical knowledge, and research methodologies. The curriculum allows for specialization in key focus areas such as gender and law, sexuality studies, public policy, or comparative cultural studies.
Students can opt for a combined MA with disciplines including Anthropology, English, Judaic Studies, Public Policy, Sociology, or Sustainable Development. This dual-degree path typically spans 1-2 years and culminates in a research project.
This joint degree serves as an alternative to a traditional master's program. Current Brandeis PhD candidates may join the combined MA track during their studies with departmental approval. Prospective PhD applicants should apply through their chosen department while indicating their interest in the joint degree within their application materials.
