SIDCO alumni are employed by a growing array of development agencies that have created specialized departments to tackle the unique challenges of conflict zones, ensuring their initiatives foster unity rather than division. Many serve as peacebuilding experts in post-conflict initiatives where sustainable development strategies become crucial alongside security, democracy, and reconciliation efforts.
This rigorous program typically takes 28 months to finish. However, with approval from both program directors, students may opt for an accelerated track that can be finished in 21 months. The first year is dedicated to the COEX curriculum, with the practicum occurring during either summer term, followed by the second year focused on SID studies.
