Boston University School of Social Work's On-Campus MSW program provides an immersive, practical education in the center of Boston—a hub for education, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations.
Under the mentorship of experienced faculty and professionals, students follow a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip them for diverse social work careers. After choosing a major, they can select from four specialization areas or pursue one of three dual degree opportunities.
Flexible enrollment options include full-time or part-time study, with three pathway choices: the traditional track, Advanced Standing, or the part-time Human Service Experience (HSE) track.
Foundation Year Program
Full-time students typically complete 27 academic credits and 6 field education credits during their first year.
Advanced Year Program
The second year involves 24 academic credits and 8 field credits for advanced study.
