The coursework option takes one year, while the scholarly paper track requires a year plus a summer term. The research thesis generally spans two years. Regardless of the chosen path, students receive faculty advisors in their specialization area during their initial semester.
Graduates of this master's program will be well-equipped to pursue doctoral studies or secure teaching and research roles across academic institutions, corporations, government bodies, or nonprofit organizations. The program welcomes applicants with bachelor's degrees in biology-related fields. Those with previous graduate coursework may qualify for credit transfers.
