The Design, Production & Management programs equip dedicated and skilled students for professional careers in theater and related performing arts fields. Throughout the Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, core courses offer a structured progression of classroom activities and practical production experiences. Students pursuing the BFA in Theatre with a Lighting Design concentration within BU's Design, Production & Management programs gain self-awareness, recognize their strengths, and unlock their potential. They evolve into cooperative theater professionals who convey meaningful narratives to modern audiences while thriving in theater's demanding environment. Program Objectives
The Lighting Design curriculum cultivates well-rounded theater artists by nurturing enthusiasm for performance, narrative, visual design, and creative teamwork. Through required classes and production work, Lighting Design students will:
