This program caters to students holding bachelor's degrees outside architecture or in allied environmental design and planning fields. The initial two years will take place at Ball State University's primary campus in Muncie, IN. Our graduate program enhances students' abilities in innovative, progressive, and analytical thought, design comprehension, and sustained design development. Recognized by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB), this curriculum prepares students pursuing professional certification in architecture.

To complete your application, you will need to upload the following required materials to your Cardinal Landing portal:
Resume or curriculum vitae (most recent)
GRE: Due to NAAB Accreditation Standards the Masters of Architecture program minimum GPA is a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, any applicant with a GPA lower than the required minimum will be required to submit GRE scores to the Department for review before final acceptance will be made. Your Cardinal Landing Portal will be updated with this request if you need to submit GRE scores.
Portfolio (5GB max): Include previous design work in university courses and studios and/or professional practice. If teamwork is shown, you must clearly indicate your role. Artistic work and hands-on building work may also be included. When uploading your portfolio to your Cardinal Landing portal, please ensure all materials are submitted as one PDF file.
Two letters of recommendation: You must provide email addresses for two references, who will be notified electronically to complete a recommendation letter on your behalf as part of the application process.
