The Engineering and Technology Accreditation Board (ABET) has recently granted accreditation to the facility management (FM) track within Georgia Tech's Master of Science in Building Construction and Facility Management (MSBCFM) program.

As a STEM-designated degree, the MSBCFM enables international students to qualify for up to three years of Optional Practical Training (OPT). The program attracts local part-time students through its comprehensive blend of project management, construction oversight, and facility operations, complemented by practical technology courses, leadership development, and a culminating capstone project.

Qualification Requirements

A bachelor's degree in one of the following fields from an accredited institution: Construction, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facility Management.
A bachelor's degree in another field with a minimum of two years experience in a related field is also acceptable.
OR
A bachelor's degree in another field with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA a minimum of two years experience in a related field.

IELTS Requirements - 7 (minimum band score for Reading, Listening, and Speaking is 6.5, minimum band score for Writing is 5.5)
TOEFL - Minimum Score Required Paper-based: 600 Internet-based 100 with minimum section scores of 19
