Students pursuing the professional flight concentration in the BS aeronautical management technology program receive flight training within an academic setting that equips them for careers as professional pilots.

Flight instruction is provided through an ASU-approved flight provider using modern aircraft with advanced avionics. Training occurs at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, located next to the Polytechnic campus.

Students can benefit from pathway agreements that ensure interview opportunities with regional airlines.

This program is designed for students with a serious commitment to becoming professional airline pilots. Graduates gain the skills needed for various technical roles in professional aviation flight operations.

Qualification Requirements

You’re considered a first-year student if you graduated from a regionally accredited high school or earned your GED, and you never attended college or have fewer than 12 transferable college credit hours.

First-year students must have a 3.00 grade point average (GPA) (a "B" or better where "A"=4.00) from a secondary school.

TOEFL iBT (internet-based test) - the minimum score is 79
