Examining modern and contemporary art helps us comprehend our current society and its historical evolution. We employ multiple analytical methods to study artistic works across various time periods and global regions. The curriculum encompasses numerous creative forms, such as paintings, three-dimensional works, immersive installations, building designs, photographic arts, motion pictures, performance pieces, and digital/new media creations.

2:1 or equivalent. We welcome students who have previously studied History of Art, but also those from other backgrounds. Applicants below 2:1 or equivalent will be considered on condition of an interview with the programme leader.
