Our Classics and English (BA) program allows you to explore classical antiquity—including its languages, literature, art, material culture, and philosophy—alongside its influence on English literature throughout Western history. Program overview If you're passionate about both Classics and English and have A-level (or equivalent) proficiency in Latin or Ancient Greek, this course provides an integrated study of classical civilizations and their literary legacy. The curriculum explores the dynamic relationship between classical artistic works and English literature, spanning from Shakespeare to modern poets, novelists, and playwrights. You'll take a variety of modules each year.
