You'll receive mentorship for your research project from top professionals in their disciplines. We encourage proposals examining the societal and political development of the United States. Current research priorities include: racial dynamics from enslavement through modern civil rights movements, the Black Power era and contemporary racial justice activism, Cold War geopolitics and post-WWII global connections, international racial justice movements, the Civil War period, and historical patterns of racial conflict in America.

Qualification Requirements
Degree requirements: You’re normally expected to have a master’s degree and an upper second-class (2.1) undergraduate honours degree. Subject-specific requirements: Your qualification should be in a field related to your chosen area of research. You may also be considered for the degree if you have other professional qualifications or experience of equivalent standing. English Language Requirements: IELTS (Academic) High level (6.5 overall, including at least 6.0 in each component); TOEFL (iBT) - 88 overall, including at least 20 in Listening, 19 in Reading, 21 in Speaking, 23 in Writing.
