Acquire the expertise and abilities needed to qualify as a professional geography educator through this PGCE Secondary program at the University of Southampton. Your time will be split between classroom placements and university sessions as you master teaching techniques for students aged 11-16 (covering Key Stages 3 and 4). This certification enables you to teach in various school settings across England and Wales, including academies, state schools, independent institutions, and special education environments. Through this Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) geography training program, you'll develop the skills to teach geography at the secondary level while working within the UK's National Curriculum guidelines.
