The CCoRD research team studies transformations in landforms and ecosystems within cryospheric, marine, coastal, and riverine environments across historical, contemporary, and projected timescales. Our core objective involves deciphering how these diverse systems adapt to ongoing environmental and climate shifts. This research builds upon knowledge of historical adaptations and quantifiable modern transformation rates, using this empirical foundation to simulate future landscape and process alterations. Our methodology integrates multiple techniques including analytical and chronological assessments, satellite observations, on-site measurements, computational simulations, along with paleoecological and paleoclimatic investigations.
