The Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning with Advanced Study in Practice follows a fully modular structure. To complete the MSc program, students must accumulate 180 credits as per University requirements. The MSc Dissertation, serving as the program's culminating project, carries 60 credits upon successful completion. All modules must be completed and passed to qualify for the MSc degree. Students who fail the Dissertation but pass 120 credits across other modules (including Advanced Study in Practice) may receive a Diploma in Urban and Regional Planning with Advanced Study in Practice. Additionally, a Certificate in Urban and Regional Planning can be awarded for passing at least 60 credits during Autumn or Spring semesters (excluding those selecting the Planning in Europe specialization).
