The Urban Design MArch program focuses on design and hands-on projects while incorporating significant research elements. Participants engage in studio work to investigate innovative approaches for enhancing cities, guided by theoretical studies on urban spatial organization. This course connects architectural practice with urban planning, prioritizing creative design solutions and bold experimentation alongside thorough analysis and cutting-edge concepts. Learners examine design choices from broad strategic perspectives down to specific urban renewal projects. Tailored for both new graduates and experienced practitioners, the program fosters an inventive setting focused on shaping tomorrow's urban landscapes. While most applicants have architecture qualifications, some originate from diverse fields such as social sciences, urban planning, engineering, and geography.

Qualification Requirements

A minimum of a second-class UK degree in an appropriate subject or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. Applicants with extensive experience in the field may also be considered. A design/creative portfolio is also expected. Applicants will be asked to submit a portfolio of their design work once their completed application has been received, and should not send or upload work until it has been requested.Overall grade of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each of the subtests. Overall score of 92 with 24/30 in reading and writing and 20/30 in speaking and listening.
