Psychology examines mental processes through scientific methods. You'll explore brain anatomy along with human perceptions, emotions, behaviors, and cognitive functions. During your first and third years, you can select optional modules (including non-psychology subjects in year one to broaden your knowledge). This flexibility allows you to focus on psychological topics that spark your curiosity. Our department features specialists covering diverse psychological fields, enabling us to provide extensive options in both theoretical and practical psychology. Potential study areas range from forensic and clinical psychology to cognitive neuroscience, brain imaging techniques, and neuropsychology, as well as social, educational, and developmental psychology. Psychology undergraduates may also participate in our Psychology Insights initiative, collaborating with community partners on real-world projects.
