Our BA (Hons) Modern Languages program allows you to master two languages, with the option to add a third as an elective. You'll cultivate both academic expertise and practical application skills in your selected languages, including translation and interpretation.
The curriculum extends beyond language mechanics by exploring social and cultural dimensions. You'll engage with diverse topics like history, politics, cinema, and literature. While language mastery is invaluable, you'll simultaneously develop professional competencies such as time management and collaboration.
Gain international experience through study or work placements abroad, boosting your linguistic abilities and cultural awareness while building confidence.
Select two languages from our offerings: Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Russian, or Spanish, with potential to incorporate a third language later in your studies.
