The curriculum features interactive lectures, seminars, hands-on projects, assessments, and presentations.About the Tizard CentreAs a division of the School of Psychology, the Tizard Centre leads in education and research related to autism, intellectual disabilities, and community care. The Centre was honored with a Queen's Anniversary Prize in 2013 for its exceptional contributions in these fields.Maintaining strong partnerships with healthcare and social service organizations, the Centre focuses on three key objectives through research, education, and consulting:Enhancing understanding of effective support strategies for individuals with learning disabilitiesEquipping caregivers and professionals with values, knowledge, and skills for improved service deliverySupporting policymakers and practitioners in developing superior service frameworks.The Tizard Centre is renowned for pioneering work in community integration, behavioral challenges, staff training methodologies, personal relationships, life quality enhancement, and autism research - significantly influencing national policies in these domains. We actively work to combat challenges stemming from social disparities.
A good honours degree, typically in psychology or other relevant social sciences, or comparable professional qualifications and experience. Those who do not meet the degree requirement but have significant relevant work experience may still be considered for entry. Applicants may be asked to complete an admissions tast and/or an interview as part of the admissions process. IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component. PTE Academic 67 with a minimum of 59 in each sub-test. A degree from the UK. A degree from a Majority English Speaking Country.
