This intensive one-year master's program focuses on diagnosing, treating, and researching disorders affecting the mouth, facial region, salivary glands, and jawbones. You'll learn within a world-leading Oral Medicine department and at the affiliated UCLH Royal National ENT & Eastman Dental Hospitals, where you'll encounter diverse oral medicine cases. The field of oral medicine continues to evolve, especially with increasing lifespans leading to higher risks of immune-related, infectious, and lifestyle-associated conditions - including oral cancers, precancerous lesions, and treatment-induced disorders from medications or therapies like radiotherapy.
The growing importance of Oral Medicine ensures proper care for international patients to improve their daily functioning and wellbeing. Through this MSc program, dental practitioners develop expertise to treat what may be Europe's - if not the world's - broadest range of oral medicine conditions.
