This BA(Honours) program offers a balanced blend of history and economics, featuring a wide array of modules. Throughout the course, you'll develop the ability to integrate historical perspectives with an understanding of modern global issues, while critically analyzing different types of evidence.
The History component provides diverse options across time periods and regions, allowing you to concentrate on your specific interests. For Economics, you'll start with fundamental macro and microeconomic principles before applying them to real-world challenges like economic inequality, job scarcity, and environmental concerns. This foundation will equip you to propose potential solutions.
The curriculum includes creative evaluation methods, such as designing concepts for historical games or developing museum exhibition routes. You'll have access to Heritage Quay's acclaimed archives and our on-campus Holocaust Centre North.
You'll acquire valuable competencies in areas like leadership, interpersonal communication, data analysis, investigative methods, decision-making, and organizational skills.
