Economics and mathematics form an ideal pairing, allowing you to cultivate analytical abilities that strengthen economic thinking while honing the powerful problem-solving techniques of mathematics.
Your initial year will concentrate mainly on mathematics coursework while establishing core principles of microeconomic and macroeconomic analysis and their applications in policy formation and evaluation.
During your second and third years, you can select modules from both disciplines to create your preferred academic blend. You'll also have the option to undertake a year-long work placement after your second year - a valuable chance to gain paid professional experience with UK-based organizations.

Research-led instruction - learn from mathematics specialists and economists who incorporate their latest findings into course content.
Diverse specialization options - building on a solid foundation of economic theory, this program lets you focus on your preferred specialization area.
Practical work experience - includes the opportunity for a paid year-long UK work placement beginning after your second year.
Strong graduate outcomes - 93.8% of 2020 economics graduates secured employment or continued education within 15 months of completing their degree (2020-21 Graduate Outcomes Survey, UK undergraduates).
