This program enhances your analytical and decision-making skills through instruction in quantitative and model-based analytical techniques. Economics students at StAndrews can specialize in areas like macroeconomic theory, decision-making frameworks, global economics and development, strategic interactions, market competition and innovation, and environmental economics. This four-year program, administered by the School of Economics and Finance, begins with two years establishing core economic competencies. The curriculum introduces microeconomic and macroeconomic principles, explores quantitative methods, and cultivates comprehension of economic connections along with the analytical tools required to examine them.
