OverviewOur Zooarchaeology program merges conventional archaeology with natural science disciplines to analyze animal remains and their significance in comprehending diverse economic and cultural mattersStudents will examine faunal materials to gain insights into historical human-animal relationships and acquire skills for interpreting ancient hunting and domestication practices within their environmental and societal frameworksOur specialized bioarchaeology laboratory focuses on investigating anatomical diversity, ancient diseases, and burial contexts of both human and animal specimensThis rapidly evolving discipline integrates archaeological methods with natural science approaches
We will consider applicants with a 2:2 Honours degree with 53% or above in their first degree in archaeology, history, ancient history, anthropology, biology, geography, geology, chemistry, heritage, or similar. While we normally only consider applicants who meet these criteria, if you are coming from a different academic background which is equivalent to degree level, or have relevant work experience, we would welcome your application. For applicants from different academic backgrounds or with relevant work experience, please use your Personal Statement to provide additional information.
 
IELTS: 6.5 overall and no less than 6 in any section; TOEFL iBT: 90 with minimum scores of 21 for writing, listening, reading and speaking; Pearson Test of English (Academic) PTE: 67 with no less than 64 in all communicative skills.
