Students will delve into stable isotope research, lipid residue studies, palaeoproteomics, and ancient DNA analysis while contributing to innovative methodologies in this rapidly advancing archaeological field.

Our program provides expert-led training in human osteoarchaeology from the UK's foremost specialists, alongside access to premier facilities for studying ancient biomolecules. This distinctive course allows students to blend bioarchaeology with related disciplines, creating a customized academic path. Additional instruction covers biomolecular analysis of artifacts (pottery), other organic remains (faunal bones, shells, botanical specimens), and historical documents (parchment).

Participants will utilize extensive on-site analytical equipment, engage with groundbreaking scientific work, and develop crucial hands-on skills while collaborating with distinguished researchers across various specialties.
