In recent times, concerns about terrorism and organized crime have reached new heights, sparking widespread public alarm and becoming central to law enforcement and broader social policy discussions. Our work leverages cutting-edge research to examine crucial questions regarding organized criminal networks and terrorism in today's world. We employ comprehensive analyses of organized crime as a phenomenon, while exploring how urbanization, migration, and globalization influence both criminal activities and our perceptions of them. The program engages with innovative critical, conceptual, and theoretical examinations of terrorism and counter-terrorism strategies.
Our approach includes multi-faceted studies of organized crime as a concept, along with investigating how urban development, population movements, and global interconnectedness affect criminal practices and societal understanding. Students explore pioneering critical perspectives and theoretical frameworks related to terrorism and anti-terrorism efforts. Graduates from this program pursue diverse career paths in security services, law enforcement, research, intelligence, and legal professions. Additional opportunities exist in NGOs, municipal governments, policy research organizations, government agencies, charitable institutions, media production, and business intelligence sectors.
